LONGINES Heritage SKIN DIVER

This is the NEW Longines Heritage Skin Diver, a fitting tribute to one of the Swiss brand’s earliest dive watches (not the earliest, that accolade goes to the HS Watch), known as the Nautilus Skin Diver from the late 1950s.

The Skin Diver is characterized by its solid black diver’s bezel. This was originally made from an early form of plastic such as Bakelite, but in this instance it has been upgraded to PVD coated Stainless steel.

Perhaps DLC would have been a better choice but it makes sense seeing as the Legend Diver BLACK also uses PVD. The bezel is a unidirectional type with a highly pronounced serrated-edge as per the Nautilus. It also has a screw-down case-back and crown. The case-back features a skin diver with a spear in hand along with the words ‘’ The Longines Skin Diver Watch’’.
